McCreath Says Take Young Candidates Seriously!

I'm sorry I haven't blogged very often in the past few days, but I have been very busy putting together a campaign launch. But I do want to take a few moments to talk about an issue that has been bothering me the past few days.

It saddens me to see so much negativity directed towards Paradise Mayor-hopeful Kurtis Coombs, over his current run for political office. While I haven't read his platform yet, and won't comment on his stance on political issues, I am ashamed to see so many people dismissing him as a serious candidate because of his young age. We often hear cries of why are there not more young people running for office? Well folks, the rudeness and bullying directed towards Kurtis is likely enough to scare many other young people off! C'mon people! We can do better than this!

Let me be blunt... Coombs gets disrespect from me not because of his youth, but because he is a mean, arrogant person and clearly has issues he needs to deal with. He is not fit to be on municipal government. I don't care how rich or well-known his parents are. HE'S the one who has to bring the goods, and he doesn't bring them.
