Dec 5, 2009 - last day before the snow!

well, with major snow in the forecast for sunday, i decided to make one last long run around all my favourite trails to all my favourite ponds. i made the treck to burton, kent, and then up the nasty 3k of hilly roads to left pond, where i haven't been since Sept. left pond is so lovely. the freshest water you will ever see. 100% drinkable! 17.8k of running today, giving me an even 100 for the week. it's nice to be back in the groove after several weeks of reduced workload.

Hey Jenn,

Do you run in the snow?
This will be my first winter to attempt outside running! I usually stay inside.

yes, i logged over 1000k in the first three months of 2009. the biggest challenge around here is that they don't shovel the side walks, so you gotta run right out there on the road. also, black ice can form and can be hard to see. i had about 5 major falls last winter, resulting in 2 severe finger hyper extensions. the good news is that it rarely gets 'too cold' to run.
