A big thanks to CBC radio noon here in St. John's for allowing me the opportunity to speak publicly about my concerns regarding the exclusion of 'gender identity' and 'gender expression' from the new Newfoundland Human Rights Act. An mp3 file of the interview can be found at one of the two following links:

They edited a 15 minute conversation down to about 7 minutes, but i think they did a great job presenting the issue. I definitely think the story does justice to the issue, and furthermore, i think it makes me come across as articulate, knowledgeable and reasonable.

What an outstanding job you did on today's interview with CBC Radio in St. John's. You have advanced the cause of transexuals in N.L. and across Canada. Perhaps there is a hidden political agenda influencing the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador's refusal to include gender identity and gender expression in the current Human Rights Act review? Other Canadian Provinces now include these terms in their HR Acts as do other countries. N.L. is lagging far behind despite the excellent health professionals available in N.L. to assist and treat transgender people.
Hi Ainsley! thanks for the compliments.. yes you are totally correct about the potential for a hidden agenda.
well, i will continue to put these folks on the hot seat, and in fact, did just that tonight!
