Transgender Activist from Newfoundland to visit Western University!
The East Coast Trans Alliance is a grassroots organization comprised of transgender activists from Canada's four eastern-most provinces, NL, NB, NS, and PEI. To commemorate the 5th anniversary of the East Coast Trans Alliance, co-founders and Head of Corporate Management, Jennifer McCreath of Newfoundland, will be doing a series of social networking events all over the country, in attempt to create a nation-wide network of trans activists. Accompanying Jennifer on the Southwest Ontario leg of the tour will be co-founder Trina Conrad, originally from Nova Scotia (but now living in Toronto), and Jake Foley, originally from Brigus, Newfoundland (but now living in Brampton).
Jennifer, Trina and Jake will be having a coffee house meet n greet on the campus of Western University at Tim Hortons - UCC - Centre Spot at 4.30 pm on Wednesday June 3, 2015. Then at 5.15 pm, the entourage will head over to the front of University College building for a photo-op with the trans flag at 5.15 pm.

This event also marks a bit of a homecoming for Jennifer, as she attended UWO in 1993-94 for one year, in a Bachelor of Science program, before making a tough decision to drop out. At the time, Jennifer lived as a man known as Jefferson, and perhaps can boast history of being the only woman to have ever lived a year in an all-male residence, when she lived in one of the town houses of King's College.
