While readers of this blog will be well aware of my lack of support for Bill C279 in it's current state, I can't help but recognize March 20, 2014 as a significant anniversary of this bill that points to one of many concerns over the state of the Canadian Senate.
This bill passed 3rd reading in the Canadian House of Commons on March 20, 2013, which means the Senate has sat on this Bill for a full year now, delaying their responsibility of reviewing the Bill, and either accepting it, or sending it back for further review.
Whether you support this bill or not, I would like to think that we should all be concerned over the fact that the Senate is refusing to undertake the work which they are mandated to do - processing the Bills that are sent to them from the House of Commons.

McCreath Cancels Transgender day of Visibility Tour
While I have made rumblings about touring Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island, during the week of March 31, to raise awareness for Transgender Day of Visibility, unfortunately do to circumstances beyond my control, I regret to announce the cancellation of said tour.
